Andy Hamilton PT, DPT, OCS
Physical Therapist, Certified Orthopaedic Specialist
Andy joins Apex Physical Therapy after practicing in the Tri-Cities area for the last 3 years. He is originally from Chehalis, WA and has fallen in love with the dry side of the state! Andy earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from The University of Montana in 2010. Andy specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and blends manual therapy with specific functional exercise for each patient. He has a passion for working with athletes of all ages and is certified in Graston soft tissue mobilization.
Andy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. To become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, therapists must complete 2,000 hours of direct patient care in the specialty area of orthopedics. Each specialist must also pass a rigorous examination that tests the application of advanced knowledge and clinical skills through a written board exam on orthopedic physical therapy. Currently, only 4.5% of PT’s nationally hold this orthopedic certification. Meanwhile, only 9.3% of PT’s in Washington are Orthopedic Specialists.
Outside of the clinic, Andy enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. He loves hunting, skiing, fishing, and coaching youth sports.
