Samantha Marikis DPT, OCS
Physical Therapist, Certified Orthopaedic Specialist
Samantha grew up in rural Eastern Washington and received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Western Washington University in 2008. She was a varsity rower for four years at Western, helping her team earn four consecutive NCAA national titles. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2013 and completed a one-year orthopedic residency program through the University of Utah Healthcare System. During the residency Samantha was able to advance her manual therapy skills, teach graduate PT students and participate in research development. Samantha enjoys treating all orthopedic-related conditions and developed a special interest in ACL injury prevention. She assisted University of Utah women's basketball players in lower extremity injury risk screening and co-taught a conditioning class designed to decrease risk of injury while skiing. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys crafting, drawing, photography, traveling and any time spent with her husband, family and pup.
